Import

Supported brokers and import formats

Acutic builds a portfolio from files you download from your broker. This page lists every broker the import recognises, the file formats it reads for each, and what those files are.

Short answer

14 brokers: 9 with a CSV file and 8 with a PDF document. Any other CSV file can be imported by assigning its columns by hand.

Other files

  • CSV: Acutic CSV template (symbol, asset type, shares, average cost, currency, date opened)
  • CSV: Any other CSV file, with its columns assigned by hand in the import preview

What the import does with each document

  • Transaction exports and Wertpapierabrechnungen are read trade by trade. A purchase opens a position; a disposal appears in the import preview as a row that cannot be imported.
  • Some files carry no purchase price or no purchase date (for example a Vermögensübersicht or a Vanguard export). The preview then uses a placeholder and flags each affected row.
  • PDF documents must contain text. Scanned images are not read.
  • The broker is detected from the file. If it is not, you pick it from a list that contains exactly the brokers on this page.

How this list is kept

The list is generated from the same definition the import uses, and a test fails if it names a broker, format or document the importer cannot parse. The export guides describe the broker’s own menus; the Format and Document columns describe what Acutic reads.
